Project Requirements
The client wanted the table to retain the natural texture of stone while also functioning as an illuminated feature within the space.
With conventional fabrication, the lighting structure, electrical wiring and maintenance access often need to be handled separately after the stone tabletop is produced.
QILISTONE Solution
The tabletop was fabricated using Translucent Natural Stone combined with a lightweight composite structure.
The backlighting system and electrical components were integrated and tested in the factory. Maintenance access was considered according to the table base, wiring route and intended use.
Project Value
The integrated approach turns the illuminated stone tabletop into a product closer to finished furniture, rather than supplying the client with stone and lighting components that still require extensive on-site integration.
It reduces secondary lighting and wiring work and allows the natural stone table to function as both furniture and a visual lighting feature.
